Before having my daughter in 2020, I was a regular gym-goer and enjoyed taking part in lots of different physical activities.
I contacted Craig because as a new mum working full time, I was struggling to prioritise exercise and I knew I needed to find a way to build this back into my life for my physical and mental well-being.
My weekly gym session with Craig has become part of my normal routine.
It is my non-negotiable time for myself and has had a big positive impact on how I feel.
I have also gained physical strength - seeing the weights steadily increase each month has kept me motivated!
Exercise is now once again a routine part of my life.
I have so much more confidence in the gym and I have made my own well-being a priority.
Press-ups and pull-ups have always been a challenge for me!
Seeing my progress with both of these exercises is definitely a highlight!
But I’m really most pleased about making exercise a regular part of my life again.
When I first met Craig I told him I needed someone who would hold me to account for my commitments and not let me off the hook too often!
Craig has done this in a really supportive way - never making me do anything but somehow always making me want to do it myself.
His programmes are really well-paced and progressive.
I’ve recently made other life changes that will give me more time for exercise going forward, so now that I have built the habit, my goals are more about building more strength and fitness and also getting back into running this year!
Craig is a complete professional - methodical, knowledgable, supportive, and great at encouraging you to take responsibility for your own fitness journey.
He will make sure the goals you set are yours - not his - and help you to achieve them.
I would also say I was wary at first about Craig’s approach of working with a small group rather than 1:1 like many Personal Trainers - but this actually works perfectly.
You get all the support you need but without someone watching every rep you do!
