I wanted to gain strength and weight, as well as recover and gain confidence in my legs following an ACL repair on my right knee.
Considering I was recovering from an ACL repair and had a very weak leg, I’m most proud of what we’ve achieved with my squatting and deadlifting.
I was really struggling with the squats to begin with.
I didn't have a lot of confidence in my knee and I couldn't get the technique right.
It’s been good to see a lot of the weights and reps increasing, as I’ve clearly been getting stronger.
Over the last 18 months, I’ve been through a variety of programmes tailored towards me and learnt lots of new exercises to gain strength.
To start with, we did a lot of upper body work and it’s been great recently getting to do the extra leg work.
With Craig’s help, I’m now really comfortable with squatting over my body weight. I’m also deadlifting considerably over my body weight.
Craig is very amiable and easy to work with, but he also works you hard to make sure you’re getting to your goals.
I’ve never been stuck doing something I feel uncomfortable with and he’s made me a lot more confident in getting around the gym.
This is the first time I've consistently gone to the gym in my life.
